Gilberto Hernández has more than 15 years of coaching experience and has worked extensively in chess education and talent development. He served as a member of the Chess in Education Program at the University of La Punta, reaching more than 45,000 children across 250 schools, and has been Director of its Talent Development School since 2019.
He has also worked with GM Viswanathan Anand and GM Francisco Vallejo Pons, and served as a coach at the University of Texas at Brownsville, contributing to the development of future Grandmasters and titled players.
