Mask Painting Workshop

Sergio, a carpenter and a member of an Indigenous community in Costa Rica, carves masks, paints them and sells them. He brought his work to the championship and guided the children through painting their own.

How it went

Sergio signed every mask

The children painted the masks he had carved. As each one was finished, Sergio signed it and added the markings of his own people, so no two went home the same.
